NASAA’s Electronic Filing Depository System Expanded to Accept Additional Corporation Finance Filings
The EFD System has been expanded to allow the electronic submission of various corporation finance filings and associated state fees to participating jurisdictions. Through the new functionality, referred to as “Universal Filing Type” (UFT), filers can submit registrations by coordination and qualification, Regulation A (Tier 1 and Tier 2), state and federal crowdfunding notices, Reg D -Rule 504, franchise and mutual fund filings. The expanded functionality also facilitates the filing of state specific forms (e.g. issuer agent registrations) where applicable.
NY Joins EFD for Form D Filings on December 2, 2020
New York is the newest jurisdiction to join EFD for Form D filings. This announcement
follows considerable work between the EFD team and the New York Investor Protection Bureau. EFD strives to meet the needs of the financial community, and we are happy to continue providing our expanding services to suit regulators and filers. With today’s addition of New York, along with Massachusetts and Connecticut joining the system earlier this year, EFD boasts 50 participating jurisdictions for Form D, and 44 states on board for UIT.
